Magnolia Market-Waco, TX

Hey Friends!

I finally ventured to Waco this weekend to live up my HGTV dreams at Magnolia Market! I've lived in Austin for 3 years now and it was about time I checked this off my Texas bucket list. My college bestie Katie was in Dallas for the weekend so it was the perfect middle ground place to meet up! I wanted to share a few photos from my visit and some tips if you are planning a trip soon!

So of course we went on a Saturday (mistake #1) the Market opens at 9 so that's exactly what time I got there, thinking we would beat the crowds (wrong). If you are picturing driving through the countryside and arriving at these beautiful Silos, think again. Magnolia Market was planned around the 2 silos which are located directly off the highway in the middle of downtown. I will say once you are inside the grounds you honestly block everything out and are just focused on how adorable everything is! When I pulled up there was a line wrapped around the sidewalk and I immediately panicked!
(*Note in order to find the FREE parking lot  you have to drive past the entrance and go to the back of the lot. The first lot you see will be a Baptist church that charges $10 to park, or you can park downtown and take the free trolley, bottom line don't pay to park!)

Thankfully the lines were to get into the bakery and the store so getting into the main grounds was super easy. The venue is surrounded by tons of local food trucks and I highly suggest getting the Cowboy Coffee at Common Grounds to start your morning, it was so delicious! After grabbing our coffee we decided to do the typical tourist thing and take a ton of photos!

Such an amazing space; there were so many families playing ball and lounging with their kids, it may have given me baby fever...but only for a second! lol

After we explored all of the amazing photo ops we decided to jump in line to go inside the store. At this point it was around 10 AM and already 105 degrees outside. So I will leave you with (mistake #2) I highly suggest going in the Spring or Fall, doing any outdoor activities in July in Texas heat can be miserable!
Once we finally made it inside, I was overwhelmed with tons of Joanna inspired decor that totally made me want to max out my credit card and redecorate my entire home, but I settled on a shirt, mug, and candle! The crowds are even crazier inside the store, so if you are not into willing to be shoulder to shoulder with people, I highly suggest ordering from their online site. Don't get me wrong you must go inside and take it all in, but if you don't like crowds and waiting in lines you will walk right back out!

Sadly we didn't get to go to the bakery, we decided the line wasn't worth the wait, especially not in that heat. But I definitely plan to go back in the Fall on a weekday to stuff my face with a blueberry muffin, and maybe a cupcake too! (If you have been to the bakery please leave me a comment on what you thought!)

Overall Magnolia Market is must see spot if you ever find yourself in Waco, TX. I highly suggest planning your trip on a weekday in the Spring or Fall and getting there when it opens so you are able to have the whole experience without crowds and heat! I also suggest checking out their website if you aren't able to make a trip anytime soon, everything in their store is also online.

Denim dress is by Chelsea and Violet, currently on Sale at Dillards for under $15!
Currently sold out online, but check your local store!

Vaca Swimwear Favs

Back on Land!!
After a much needed 5 day cruise with the fam, it feels good to be back home with my fur babies! My husband and I got to take a few days off to enjoy a Carnival cruise with his parents and grandma last week. This was their first cruise and our third so we were excited to get to experience it with them. We sailed to Cozumel and Progresso and thankfully the weather was beautiful the entire time!

I wanted to share a few of my favorite swimsuit looks from the trip so here they are!

Probably my favorite swimsuit I brought on the cruise is this white one piece by Becca Swimwear. I typically don't spend this much on swimwear but this was one of my summer splurge items! This suit is on sale right now for $74 at Dillards. Click the link below to shop!

This drink was so delicious and pretty I had to take a picture of it! It was made out of a hollowed out pineapple and filled with pina colada, rum, and fresh pineapple and orange juice.

Excuse my burnt back, this photo was taken on the last day of the cruise and after 5 days of sun I was feeling a little crispy! I wanted to show you guys how cute the back of this suit is! I purchased a size medium because I have a super long torso and a big butt, so one piece suits are hard for me to wear.  It was a little big up front in the chest and stomach area, but still fit and was super cute!

Here we are at port in New Orleans before setting sail!

Our first stop on the cruise was Cozumel, my husband and I have been there but we were so excited to take his family and show them around. This was their first trip to Mexico so we decided to book an all inclusive resort day so they would get the full luxury experience. We spent part of the morning shopping at the port (pictured below) I took this photo from my balcony on the ship.

We spent our day in Cozumel at an all inclusive beach club called Nachi Cocom. It was the perfect beach getaway; not too crowded, clean, and the service, food, and drinks were amazing! I definitely recommend visiting if you are planning a trip to Cozumel.

Okay so disregard the crazy faces and focus on how adorable this one piece Becca swimsuit is! These suits rarely get marked down but I found it on sale online at Belk and had to get it for my trip! Belk currently has 2 colors left and they have reduced them again to only $47 (originally $118) You can also purchase these suits at Nordstrom, Dillards, and Everything But Water.

I was apprehensive about this port at first but it turned out to be one of the best cruise stops I've had. I fell in love with this little city, my husband and I are already trying to plan a trip back. I took this photo during a double decker bus tour of the town we did. It was so great to get a guided tour of the town and culture, I highly recommend taking 30 minutes out of your trip to do this tour of the city.
After our city tour we headed to a Beach Resort called Technotel I was not a fan of their beaches but their resort style pools were the perfect way to relax for the day!

This is the only bikini I brought on the trip but I figured my stomach needed some sunlight after wearing all those one pieces! This is my favorite Target suit this season and the seersucker material gives it a little extra flair! Suit is $19.99/each, I am wearing a size small.

Can't go wrong with Palm Print on vacation! This Cupshe suit is not only cute but also affordable, I ordered mine using Amazon Prime and it only cost me $25!!

Grandma is seriously the cutest!! I'm so glad she enjoyed her first cruise!

I know the color of this photo is a little off but I wanted to show you the cute side cutout detail of this suit.

That's it guys, back to the work grind on Monday. I hope you enjoyed my vaca recap and swimsuit favs!
Lastly, I need to give a shout out to the hubs for snapping all these photos, you da best!!

XOXO

Floral Midi Skirt

Hello Friends!
I wanted to do a quick post to share with you my latest bargain finds, because we all know I am a huge believer that fashion doesn't have to cost a fortune! I picked up this adorable floral midi skirt at Old Navy and right now it's on sale for only $27 online; they are sold out of the red but they currently have it in black which is super cute too! My Old Navy still had several left in red on clearance so if you are looking for the perfect summer skirt head to your local store before they are all gone!

I paired this skirt with an off the shoulder white bodysuit that I ordered from Amazon. I was a little hesitant of the quality but it's actually really comfortable and not see through, and the best part is it's only $16! I've also worn it with a denim button up top for a more casual look!
My favorite is this Medium Indigo top from Target.

Banana Republic Sale

Hey Friends! I wanted to share some of the awesome deals I picked up at the Banana Republic sale this past week. I love getting the most for my money so a lot of these items are perfect for work or play! I am not your typically blogger who orders tons of stuff from online; I honestly enjoy going to the store and digging through sale racks and finding those perfect gems! Everything I purchased was on sale and was an additional 50% off!! If you've never worn their clothing before than I highly recommend you go into the store and try on outfits first. I've found that for me Banana Republic typically runs one size larger than most brands. Just for reference, I usually am a size 2 but I wear an xs and 0 in their clothing, so keep that in mind when you shop!

Love this flare sleeve black and white dress for work! It's super flattering and comfy, I paired it with my favorite black Kelly and Katie heels which are affordable and actually comfortable!

How fun are these tropical dress pants?? These adorable pants are sure to brighten up your work week and catch everyone's attention. I paired them with a skinny belt and black button down tank to keep it simple. The best part is they were only $24!!

The perfect little white summer dress.I actually had my eye on this dress before it went on sale and I'm so glad I waited and got it under $50! The fringe details and tie waist makes it perfect for work or play! I paired it with my favorite wedge sandals from Target, the bamboo summer blogger bag (that's just what I call it lol) and my new Warby Parker prescription sunglasses!

I had to get this top when I saw it in the store. It has already sold out online but check the sale racks at your local Banana! I paired it with white skinny jeans for a more casual look, but can also be dressed up with a pencil skirt and jacket for a more business look.

Last but certainly not least is this fern print maxi dress! I know this is not considered work wear but I am leaving for a cruise this weekend and I will be wearing this dress on repeat! It's so comfy and just the right length for sandals.

I hope you enjoyed my Banana Republic sale roundup! Now head to your local store or online to shop before all the good stuff is gone, and don't forget to size down if you are ordering online and not able to try on! Happy Shopping!
