Nobody ever really tells you how hard it is to make friends when you are an adult, especially when  you just moved to a new City. My husband and I have moved a lot these last few years chasing our careers, but every time we pick up and move I always think about the friendships we leave behind, and how will we ever make new ones.
About 3 weeks after our move to Denver I attended a blogger event at a local boutique hosted by My Haute Society. After a two day drive to get to Colorado, unpacking boxes, and job hunting, being around other females was exactly what I needed. It's amazing what a few glasses of champagne and some time chatting about life with some some amazing ladies will do for you. Blogging has truly opened so many doors for me in the short period of time that I have been doing it and I couldn't be more thankful for the friendships that I've made along the way.

Fast forward a few months, and I am lucky enough to still be hanging out with some of the bloggers I met that night, and I am so excited to share some behind the scenes photos from our "Galentine's Day" stay at the  Renaissance Denver Downtown Hotel. So lets start with a question I've been getting a lot of: What is a Galenetine's Day? Well it originated from a 2010 episode of Parks and Recreation, but is now being celebrated by ladies everywhere. I mean don't get me wrong, I love celebrating Valentine's Day with my hubs, but there is something so special about creating a micro-holiday that's focused around female friendships, it's really empowering!
So what did we do for our staycation? Well we were so grateful to partner with the Renaissance Denver Downtown Hotel for our stay, and they certainly hooked us up! Our corner suite was so spacious and had views of downtown from every room, not to mention a huge living space and the comfiest bed (which we may have had too much fun jumping on). If you find yourself traveling through Denver, or if you want to plan your own staycation, this hotel has got everything you need!

So what else did we do all day in this amazing suite?...well we drank champs, ate way to much chocolate, took lots of selfies and talked about life, what else would you expect from a group of bloggers? We ended the night with drinks, apps, and dinner at Range Restaurant inside the hotel. I've tried quite a few restaurants since I've moved to Denver, but this one was definitely up there in my top 5! You can find their menu HERE and they are also running a Valentine's Day Dinner for 2 special, so check it out!

Keep scrolling down to see more details from our Galentine's Day staycation; and if you haven't hosted one before, I encourage you all to get your girl gang together and celebrate the power of female friendship, you will not regret it!! 💕

Oh and jumping on the bed is still just as fun when you're an adult!

How stunning are these floral arrangements by a local Denver company called Flower Bombers. If you are looking for the perfect gift to send to your Valentine, look no further! Check out their website or follow them on Instagram, they also have a hilarious slogan "We love dropping F-Bombs."

Um seriously are you drooling yet?? You don't even need a special occasion to get a cake from Beehold Cakes. They are located in the Cherry Creek Mall, so check them out the next time you are hitting up Nordstrom, you will not be disappointing! The taste and presentation of these cakes are amazing, we had the "Chocolate Celebration" cake.
